There's big news from Rochester this week, as we are thrilled to announce that we've just heard that the version of "Army" we recorded back in December with singer/songwriter Ben Folds will officially be featured on his upcoming new album!  Ben Folds Presents: University A Cappella will be released to the world on April 7, and you can pick up your very own copy...well...at this point, anywhere but here.  Due to the complexity that is the music industry, we won't be selling them ourselves (at least not right away).  Don't fear though, you can still get your copy from most major retailers (we know Target and Amazon.com are currently taking preorders).  Since all the proceeds from the album are going straight to the Save the Music charity, the new disc will be an awesome way to get some new Ben Folds/Midnight Ramblers music while helping out a great cause. In other news, if the winter doldrums have given you a fix for more live music, then you're also in luck.  At 10:30 PM on February 27 in the Drama House, we'll be joining forces with our (substantially funnier) friends, the In Between the Lines Improv Troupe, for a night of completely unplanned craziness. The night will feature the debut of some new Ramblers tunes, as well as an epic inter-group impella acaprov collaborative magnum opus that is sure to replace Carmina Burana as the new standard dramatic music for overdone car commercials.
